1. What is the purpose of this Group?
Building an Action-Oriented Global Research Collaboration Platform: This group aims to establish a sustainable international R&D network that connects foreign researchers and Korean researchers working in Korea.
Rather than focusing solely on social networking or information exchange, the group seeks to create meaningful collaborations that lead to joint research projects, international grant proposals, publications, conference presentations, and technology commercialization.
Our vision is to support researchers in understanding the Korean research ecosystem, strengthening their global collaboration capabilities, and developing into future research leaders.
2. Who is the group leader?
A Researcher Connecting Global Collaboration and Convergence Innovation
I am a Professor in the Department of Applied Bioengineering at Seoul National University. My research focuses on nanomaterials, electrochemical energy systems, biosensors, environmental technologies, and AI-enabled healthcare.
Over the past 16 years, I have: Published more than 200 SCI-indexed papers, Led numerous national and international research projects, Established and managed the Nano Materials Processing and Environmental Electrochemistry Laboratory (NMEC Lab), Mentored graduate students and young researchers from diverse international backgrounds. In addition, I actively promote international collaboration through my roles as:
International Cooperation Chair, Korean Electrochemical Society; Organizer of Korea–Taiwan and Korea–Japan Joint Research Workshops; Member of the PRiME International Conference Organizing Committee; Leader of multiple international collaborative research initiatives
My experience in developing multinational and interdisciplinary research networks will help participants build meaningful collaborations and expand their global research opportunities.
