1. What is the purpose of this Group?
[Application and Utilization of Metaverse in Information Security Systems]
Our community is designed to help members understand information security in a more accessible and engaging way, while learning together through shared experiences.
Rather than focusing on rigid, theory-centered learning, we aim to grow together by utilizing the metaverse and various digital environments where members can see, experience, and discuss security concepts in practice.
Within the metaverse space, complex security concepts can be visualized more intuitively, and participants can take part in simulations of cyber incidents and practice responding to security threats in a virtual environment.
In addition, the community serves as a collaborative study space where members can freely share ideas, insights, and experiences while learning from one another.
This group is not intended to be a formal expert forum, but rather a small security community that learns, understands, and grows together.
Anyone who is interested in information security or who wishes to experience IT and cybersecurity in a new and interactive way is warmly welcome to join
2. Who is the group leader?
-I am Professor Yoon Jong-moon from the Department of Digital Security at Chungbuk National University, and I am conducting research on the performance analysis and implementation of information security systems utilizing metaverse technologies.
-I have been involved in the development of various information security solutions, including defense network security devices, Network Intrusion Detection Systems (NIDS), Secure OS, SIEM, and image security technologies. In addition, I have participated in multiple cybersecurity consulting projects and security system construction initiatives.
Furthermore, I have served as an international cybersecurity expert in Official Development Assistance (ODA) projects, contributing to the establishment of information security frameworks and the enhancement of cybersecurity capabilities in several countries.
-Recently, my research has focused on DID (Decentralized Identity), Cyber Resilience, and the implementation and performance evaluation of metaverse-, AI-, and digital twin-based information security systems. Through this community, I aim to share ideas, explore emerging cybersecurity technologies, and engage in open discussions on future-oriented converged security environments.
-I hope this group will become an open community where we can freely discuss various technologies and ideas, and grow together through collaborative learning and research.
3. Who would you like to be part of this group with?
This is an open community for people who are interested in metaverse and information security technologies, where members can learn and discuss freely together.
We welcome individuals who:
-Are interested in metaverse, VR, AI technologies, and information security, hacking, and cybersecurity technologies Enjoy freely sharing and discussing ideas
-Are interested in research papers, seminars, and the latest technology trends
-Are willing to collaborate, communicate, and actively participate with enthusiasm
-We look forward to building a community with passionate individuals who are eager to learn and grow together
4. What aspects can I discuss and develop by participating?
-Sharing the latest trends in AI, metaverse, and cybersecurity technologies
-Exchanging ideas on the development of information security within metaverse environments
-Reviewing research papers, articles, and technical materials together
-Openly sharing academic knowledge and practical field experience across different backgrounds
-Exchanging information on career paths, certifications, and research directions
-Engaging in open, idea-based technical discussions and collaborative knowledge sharing
